Bob Buchholz is an American voice actor, voice director, and script writer with a career spanning from the early 1980s to the present. He was born on June 1, 1957. Over the course of his career, he has also been known by several pseudonyms, including Robert Wicks, Rich Buckloid, and Randolph Brandon.

Buchholz began his career in anime voiceover in 1982, providing voices for the English adaptation of the Mobile Suit Gundam movie trilogy. In the decades that followed, he became a prolific presence in the industry, building an extensive list of credits. He is known for his work as a voice actor and has also contributed significantly as a writer and voice director on numerous projects.

His acting portfolio includes a wide range of notable anime roles. He is recognized for voicing Pazu (sometimes spelled Paz), a veteran member of Public Security Section 9, in the Ghost in the Shell franchise, including Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, its second gig, Solid State Society, and the later Netflix series Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045. In the Netflix anime Beastars, he provided the voice for Ogma, the strict and enigmatic adoptive father of Louis and head of the Horns Conglomerate. He also voiced Yamada in the De:vadasy OVA. Other significant roles include Gene Starwind in Outlaw Star, Hubb Lebowski in Wolf's Rain, Beck in The Big O, and Zenki in Zenki. His early work includes a role in the Animaze dub of the seminal film Akira, where he is credited as Robert Wicks.

Beyond acting, Buchholz's work as a voice director and script writer has been a major part of his career. He has served as a voice director on a vast array of titles, particularly for adaptations of popular video games and anime. His directing credits include projects such as Pokémon Origins, multiple installments in the Kingdom Hearts series (including Kingdom Hearts II, Re:Chain of Memories, and Birth by Sleep), Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, and the English adaptation of Devilman Crybaby. As a script writer, his credits include early Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02, as well as series like Rave Master and Great Teacher Onizuka.

Throughout his long career, Buchholz has frequently collaborated with a consistent group of fellow voice actors and directors. His frequent collaborators include Steve Blum, Kirk Thornton, and Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, among many others. He is the owner of Spliced Bread Productions, a company involved in voiceover production.
