Dean Wein, born Dean Elliot Wein on March 3, 1948, is an American voice actor recognized for his extensive work in the English dubs of anime series and video games. His career spans several decades, with many of his early credits listed under the name Dean Elliot.
Wein is perhaps most widely known for his long-standing association with the Ghost in the Shell franchise, where he consistently provided the voice for the character Borma, a core member of Public Security Section 9. His portrayal of Borma appears across multiple installments, including the television series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and its second season, Ghost in the Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG, as well as the feature film Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex: Solid State Society. He later reprised the role for the Netflix original series Ghost in the Shell: SAC2045 and its compilation film, Ghost in the Shell: SAC2045 Sustainable War.
Beyond this signature role, Wein has voiced characters in a variety of other notable anime productions. He is credited as the voice of Lysandre in the short series Pokémon Generations.
