Takatsugu Awazu is a Japanese voice actor born on April 18 in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. He is affiliated with the talent agency Atomic Monkey and is a graduate of its fourth-term Voice Actor and Acting Institute. His blood type is O, and his hobbies and skills include watching movies, juggling, and speaking the Kansai dialect. At one point in his career, he used the stage name Koizumi Ichirouta.

Awazu began his voice acting career in 1998, with his first credited role being a staff member in the television anime Kndatchi's Case Files. Over his career, he has been affiliated with several agencies, including Gekidan 21st Century Fox and Production Baobab, before joining Atomic Monkey. He was active in the industry from the 1990s until his retirement on August 31, 2023.

Sugoroku is described as a veteran newspaper deliverer who teaches the protagonist, Suzushirō Asano, the trade. He also had a role in the 2019 animated film Saga of Tanya the Evil.
