Ryan Nicolls is an American voice actor based in New York, known for his work in English dubs of anime and animated series. He was born on March 6 in Sacramento, California. His path to voice acting was preceded by a focus on theater and performance; he discovered his interest in storytelling during high school and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Dance from California State University, Fullerton. After relocating to New York City in 2010, he studied improvisational theater at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater before receiving a Master of Fine Arts in acting from Columbia University.

Nicolls has built a career voicing characters in a variety of animated productions. A significant portion of his work includes English dubs of Japanese anime. He is known for his role as Abel in the 2021 original anime series Fena: Pirate Princess, providing the English voice for the series' main antagonist. He has also been involved with the long-running Pokémon anime, joining the cast during the Sun & Moon series. His most notable role in that franchise is the character Laki, and he also provided voices for numerous other characters and Pokémon until his departure from the series in early 2021. His other anime credits include roles in Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS as Jin Kolter, Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V as a Guard Captain, and Regal Academy as Hattie and Prince Lysander.

Beyond anime, Nicolls's voice work spans various international and domestic productions. He voiced Capi in the series Armored Saurus and has had roles in shows such as Transformers: Cyberverse, 44 Cats, Be-Be-Bears as Sammy, and Alisa Knows What to Do! as Jan. His work also includes voice contributions to the animated films The Marona Tales and Pokémon the Movie: The Power of Us, as well as live-action appearances in series like Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and The Equalizer. He frequently collaborates with New York-based voice actors and studios, and he is married to fellow voice actress Laurie Hymes.
