Paloma Escola Piedra, born in Madrid on May 10, 1948, is a distinguished Spanish dubbing actress regarded as a leading figure in the profession in Spain. She began her career in the early 1970s, studying dramatic arts and getting her start at the Madrid-based studio Sincronía, where her parents, Joaquín Escola and María Antonia Piedra, also worked as dubbing actors.

Over a career spanning several decades, Escola has lent her voice to thousands of characters, becoming particularly well-known for dubbing numerous international film stars. Her extensive body of work includes providing the Spanish voice for actresses such as Melanie Griffith, Jane Fonda, Kathleen Turner, and Annette Bening in their respective films.

In the realm of animation and anime for the Spanish market, she is recognized for several prominent roles. She voiced the character Tsubone in the Netflix series Aggretsuko. In the Studio Ghibli film When Marnie Was There, she provided the voice for Hisako. Her other anime credits include the role of Hana Matsuzaki in From Up On Poppy Hill, Phoenix in Phoenix 2772 - Space Firebird, Reina in Sekai Meisaku Dōwa: Mori wa Ikiteiru, and Meg March in the anime adaptation Little Women.
