Anna Tsuchiya

Description
Anna Tsuchiya is a Japanese entertainer known for her work as a singer, model, and actress, with a select but notable body of work in voice acting for anime and film. She was born in Tokyo on March 11, 1984, and began her career as a model as a teenager before transitioning into music and acting.

Tsuchiya's introduction to voice acting came in 2005 when she provided the Japanese dub voice for the lead role of Maggie Peyton, originally played by Lindsay Lohan, in the Disney film Herbie: Fully Loaded. This debut led to subsequent roles in Japanese animated productions.

In the world of anime, she voiced the character Orika in the 2020 animated fantasy film Over the Sky. She also took on the role of the guest heroine Rinrin, a fairy, in the 2008 film Soreike! Anpanman: Yōsei Rinrin no Himitsu (Go! Anpanman: The Secret of the Fairy Rin-Rin). These roles represent her primary, confirmed forays into character voice acting for anime.

Beyond traditional voice acting, Tsuchiya has a significant connection to anime through her music. Her most prominent contribution was for the 2006 anime series Nana, based on the popular manga. The series' author personally requested that Tsuchiya provide the singing voice for the character Nana Osaki, the vocalist of the fictional band Black Stones. She performed several theme songs for the series under names like "ANNA inspi' NANA (BLACK STONES)," with her debut single "Rose" becoming a major commercial success. She has also performed theme songs for other projects, including the animated film Resident Evil: Degeneration and the live-action series Kamen Rider Fourze. While her acting voice roles are few, her musical performances have made her a recognizable figure closely associated with anime and its soundtracks.
