Mai Kanazawa is a Japanese female voice actress born on January 19, 1993, in the Saitama Prefecture city of Chichibu. She began her career as a child actress and, after graduating from high school, moved to Tokyo to pursue voice acting. She attended a vocational school before entering the Accent-affiliated voice actor training school, subsequently joining the agency Accent and beginning her professional voice acting career in earnest. Her blood type is B, and her hobbies include jazz dance, tap dance, and visiting ramen shops.

Kanazawa's first starring role in an anime television series came in 2016 with the series Three Leaves, Three Colors, where she voiced the character Futaba Odagiri. This role marked a significant step in her early career. Following this, she gained attention for her voice work in the 2018 comedy series Asobi Asobase, in which she played multiple roles including Ruu Oka, the Vice President of the Student Council, and the Lord of Pastimers, showcasing her range in a series directed by Seiji Kishi.
