Akemi Satou is a Japanese voice actress affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production. She was born on May 16, 1980, in Akita Prefecture, Japan.
Satou entered the voice acting industry after winning an audition sponsored by the voice actor magazine Seiyuu Grand Prix, which led to her training at the Aoni Juku voice acting school in Tokyo. Her early career in the 2000s included various roles in television anime and video games. A significant turning point came when she was selected to voice Shiori Misaka in the anime adaptation of the visual novel Kanon, taking over the role from the original voice actress.
