Claudio Galvan is a Brazilian actor, voice actor, singer, and director, recognized for his extensive work dubbing animation and live-action content into Portuguese. Born in Rio de Janeiro on May 31, 1969, he built a strong foundation in the performing arts through formal training in dance at Theatro Municipal, lyrical singing at the Conservatório Brasileiro de Música, and drama at the renowned theatre school O Tablado. He is a graduate in performing arts from the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO).

Galvan's career in dubbing began in 1995 when he was invited by director Garcia Júnior to provide the singing voice for the character Max in A Goofy Movie. This initial work led to a prolific career, making him one of the most recognizable voices in Brazilian animation. He is particularly known as the official Portuguese voice of Donald Duck, a role he has performed since 1996, and Winnie the Pooh, which he has voiced since 2004. His repertoire also includes a wide array of prominent characters such as Captain in the Madagascar franchise, Fillmore in Cars, Crush in Finding Nemo, and Lord Farquaad in Shrek.

In addition to his work in Western animation, Galvan has a substantial portfolio in anime and other series, providing voices for the Brazilian Portuguese versions. As noted, his roles include Malves Garitier in Log Horizon: Destruction of the Round Table and Pleakley in the series Stitch!. His other anime credits span a variety of series and films, including Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac - Battle for Sanctuary as Pisces Aphrodite, The Seven Deadly Sins as Marmas, and multiple roles across the Pokémon franchise, such as Professor Nogueira in Pokémon Journeys and Pokémon Sun & Moon, and Saizo in Pokémon XY&Z. He has also contributed to films like Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge and Eureka Seven - good night, sleep tight, young lovers.

Beyond animation and anime, Galvan has dubbed roles for numerous live-action actors and series. He is the voice for actors such as Eric Dane as Dr. Mark Sloan in Grey's Anatomy, Jorge Garcia as Hurley in Lost, and Simon Pegg as Montgomery Scott in the Star Trek films. He also provides voices for characters in popular series like Stranger Things as Mr. Clarke and Pacificador as Jamil.

Galvan's work has been recognized with award nominations. In 2008, he was nominated for the Prêmio Yamato (considered the "Oscar of dubbing" in Brazil) for Best Supporting Voice Actor for his role as Prince Edward in Enchanted. He received further Yamato nominations for Best Lead Voice Actor for his performances in WALL-E (2009) and Megamind (2011). Alongside his voice work, he maintains an active career as a stage actor in musical theatre, for which he has won awards including the Prêmio Bibi Ferreira for Best Supporting Actor in 2013 for The Addams Family musical and a Prêmio Cesgranrio de Teatro for Best Actor in a Musical in 2018. He is also the director of Galvan Estúdios, a studio in Rio de Janeiro that offers dubbing and singing courses.
