Aiko Hibi is a Japanese voice actress and narrator affiliated with the talent agency Aoni Production. She was born on November 18 in Saitama Prefecture, Japan. Hibi is a graduate of the Tokyo Institute of Technology's Department of Theatre and Voice Acting. Hibi began her career in the early 2000s, with her debut anime role being a student in the 2003 series D.C.: Da Capo. Before focusing solely on voice work, she gained performance experience with theatre troupes such as Geikyo and Kotteri Theatre Company, appearing in numerous stage productions, including a notable role as Anne Shirley in a stage adaptation of Anne of Green Gables. She voiced the character Kouhei in the 2012 original video animation (OVA) of Saint Young Men. Her career is marked by a high degree of versatility and a strong presence in supporting and recurring roles across numerous popular franchises. She is particularly known for voicing a wide range of characters, including young boys, girls, and animal characters. One of her most consistent and long-term contributions has been to the anime One Piece, where since 2005 she has voiced a multitude of characters, including Mozu (second generation), children, warriors, and citizens. Other major long-running series she has contributed to include Gintama, where she played the character Tatsumi, and Chibi Maruko-chan, in which she has voiced several characters over the years, including a stint as a substitute voice for the character Takeda Hiroshi in 2015. Her work also extends to other prominent series such as Dragon Ball Super, GeGeGe no Kitaro (Fifth Series), and the game and anime adaptation of Valkyria Chronicles, where she voiced the character Emil Bairaut. Beyond animation, Hibi is an active narrator for various television programs, documentaries, and variety shows. Her work also encompasses drama CDs, video games, and foreign film dubbing.
