Born on November 4, 1977, in Rochester, New York, he developed an interest in performing arts after his family moved to Allen, Texas, in 1990. His early involvement in theatre culminated in winning an award for Outstanding Performance at the Texas State Thespian Convention in 1995, which led to professional representation.
Before focusing on voice acting, Cucinotti pursued on-camera work, appearing as an extra in films such as Armageddon and Serving Sara, and in episodes of the television series Walker, Texas Ranger. He also worked in the Dallas radio market from 1997 to 2018 under the on-air name Joe Kelly.
