Laurent Van Wetter is a Belgian actor and voice artist known for his extensive work in the French dubbing of anime and animated series. Born in 1963, he trained at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles under Pierre Laroche, graduating with a first prize in dramatic arts in 1986. He later studied cinematographic writing and analysis at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Before becoming a prominent voice actor, Van Wetter built a substantial career in Belgian theatre, performing in numerous productions and also working as a playwright.

Van Wetter's voice acting career encompasses a wide variety of roles in the French-language versions of major anime series. He is particularly recognized for his work in long-running franchises. He voices Yamato, a role he has performed across multiple installments of the Naruto franchise, including the television series Naruto Shippūden, its spin-off Naruto Spin-Off: Rock Lee & His Ninja Pals, the video game Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, and the films Naruto Shippūden the Movie: Bonds, Naruto Shippūden: The Lost Tower, and Naruto Shippūden: Blood Prison. He continued in this role for the sequel series Boruto: Naruto Next Generations.

In addition to his work in the Naruto universe, Van Wetter has taken on key roles in other popular series. He voices the elderly craftsman Kaseki in Dr. Stone: New World and Dr. Stone: Stone Wars. He plays the role of Augustus (also known as Gus) in both seasons of The Faraway Paladin. His other notable anime credits include Waver in Fate/Apocrypha, David Pepper in Black Cat, and roles in series such as Cells at Work! Code Black, The Dungeon of Black Company, and Dead Mount Death Play. Beyond anime, his voice work extends to animated series like Star Wars Rebels, where he voiced Agent Kallus.
