Chiharu Hokaze

Description
Chiharu Hokaze, now known professionally as Chiharu, is a Japanese voice actress and former idol who began her career in 2016. She was born on April 10, 1995, in Hyogo Prefecture. Before entering the entertainment industry, she obtained a qualification to work as a nursery teacher.

Her career began when she successfully passed the auditions for the multimedia idol group 22/7, a project produced by Yasushi Akimoto, on December 24, 2016. Out of over ten thousand applicants, she was chosen as one of the original members and took on the stage name Chiharu Hokaze. Within the group, she was appointed as the leader and was responsible for voicing the character Reika Sato. This role involved not only voice acting for the anime adaptation but also performing as an idol in live events and appearing in the group's television programs, such as 22/7 Keisanchu.

After over four years of activity with 22/7, Hokaze graduated from the group on February 28, 2021, to focus exclusively on her career as a voice actress. Shortly after, on September 1, 2021, she joined the talent agency Hibiki under the new mononym Chiharu. This agency is also home to her older sister, the voice actress Aimi Terakawa, a fact that was officially confirmed around this time.

Since transitioning to Hibiki, Chiharu has continued to build her voice acting portfolio. Her recent roles have included appearances in anime television series such as Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! in 2024, As a Reincarnated Aristocrat, I'll Use My Appraisal Skill to Rise in the World in 2024, and a role in the 2022 series Teppen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, where she voiced the characters Rine Takahashi and Miki Takahashi. She is also noted to be an avid gamer, with the Persona series being a significant influence on her desire to pursue voice acting.
