Osami Nabe, also known as Osamu Nabei, was a Japanese actor and voice actor born in Tokyo on May 2, 1939. His career in the entertainment industry spanned from the 1960s to the early 2000s, during which he appeared in approximately fifty film and television productions, including both live-action performances and voice acting roles in animation.

In the realm of anime, Nabe contributed his voice to several notable productions. In the 1982 television film adaptation of Natsume Soseki's classic novel Wagahai wa Neko de Aru, he provided the voice for the character Kuro. He voiced the character Mr. Peppino in the 1999 animated film Marco: Haha o tazunete sanzen ri, also known as Marco - Carry a Dream, a movie based on the beloved story from Cuore. Earlier in his voice acting career, he took on the role of the Narrator for the 1978 television film King Fang. His filmography also includes roles in two films from the 1970s: he voiced Pero in the 1976 animated adventure film Nagagutsu o Haita Neko 80 Nichikan Sekai Isshū. Prior to that, in 1970, he voiced Antonius in the animated film Cleopatra, produced by the renowned Mushi Production studio. Another of his voice roles was John Watson in the 1981 television anime special Lupin tai Holmes, which featured a crossover between the characters of Arsène Lupin and Sherlock Holmes.
