min Tanaka

Description
Min Tanaka is a Japanese performer known primarily as a dancer and live-action film actor who has also contributed voice work to a small number of anime productions. Born on March 10, 1945, in Tokyo, he is recognized as a leading figure in the avant-garde dance form known as butoh. His career in film includes roles in major live-action movies such as The Twilight Samurai, for which he won Japanese Academy Awards for Best Newcomer and Best Supporting Actor, as well as the Rurouni Kenshin live-action film series and the Hollywood production 47 Ronin.

Tanaka's work as a voice actor is limited, with his credits including roles in two notable anime films. In the 2019 film Children of the Sea, he provided the voice for the character Jim Cusack. Prior to that, in the 2018 Studio Ponoc anthology film Modest Heroes, he voiced the character of the Blind Man in the short segment titled Invisible. His other anime voice credit is for the character Suzuki in the 2006 film Tekkonkinkreet. These performances reflect his broader career as an established figure in Japanese performing arts, occasionally extending his craft to voice acting in animated features.
