Minami Hinata is a Japanese voice actress affiliated with the agency Axl One. She was born on January 24 in Fukushima Prefecture. After graduating from a vocational school, she joined Axl Zero, a training school attached to Axl One that is headed by the veteran voice actor Toshiyuki Morikawa. Her motivation to join the school was her admiration for three voice actors represented by Axl One: Ai Orikasa, Yūko Sanpei, and Morikawa himself.

Hinata's first leading role, and the performance that brought her widespread recognition, was as the protagonist Bojji in the 2021 fantasy anime series Ranking of Kings. The role was notable for requiring her to convey deep emotion for a character who speaks very little, a challenge that showcased her talent. For this breakthrough performance and her other work, she was awarded the Best New Actress Award at the 17th Seiyu Awards in 2023.

Her other major anime roles include Luminaria in She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man, Liu Tanen in Megaton-kyū Musashi, Subaru Nanyō in Pole Princess!!, and Ai Kumamoto in the cycling anime Rinkai!. She has also taken on roles in subsequent years, such as Charlotte in Dr. Stone: Science Future and Yū Ayase in Dealing with Mikadono Sisters Is a Breeze.
