Akira Murayama is a Japanese voice actor born on April 2, 1948, in Asakusa, Taitō, Tokyo. He began his career in 1970 as a student at the Kurosawa Akira Actor Training School, joined the talent agency Dōjin-sha in 1972, and has been represented by the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society, also known as Haikyō, since 1991. His voice is classified as a tenor.
Murayama has built a substantial career since the 1970s, providing voices for numerous anime series, films, and dubbed versions of foreign productions. He is known for playing a wide range of supporting characters, from young boys to announcers and villains.
