Zachary Bennett

Description
Zachary Bennett is a Canadian actor and musician with a extensive career in television, film, and voice acting. Born in London, Ontario, he began his professional acting career in the mid-1980s as a child actor and is the sibling of fellow actors Sophie Bennett, Garreth Bennett, and Mairon Bennett. His early and long-running live-action roles include portraying Felix King in the popular series Road to Avonlea. Over the decades, his work has expanded significantly into voice acting for animated series, making him a familiar presence in English dubs of anime and other children's programming.

Bennett is perhaps best known in the anime community for his long-standing role as Shun Kazami in the Bakugan franchise. He first voiced the calm and skilled ninja-like brawler in the original Bakugan Battle Brawlers and continued the role across its several sequels. This includes Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia, Bakugan Battle Brawlers: Gundalian Invaders, and Bakugan: Mechtanium Surge. In addition to voicing the main character Shun, his work on the various Bakugan series also included providing voices for numerous other characters, such as the entity Apollonir and various background roles like guards, soldiers, and announcers, showcasing his range within a single franchise.

Beyond Bakugan, Bennett has also been involved in other anime-styled productions. He voiced the character Leon Fierce in the Beyblade spin-off series BeyWheelz: Powered by Beyblade and its follow-up, BeyWarriors: BeyRaiderz. These roles demonstrate his continued presence in the genre of action-oriented animated series produced for Western audiences through collaborations with Canadian and Japanese studios.

His voice acting career is marked by recurring collaborations with Toronto-based animation studios and a distinct presence in Canadian-produced children's programming. A prominent example of this is his long-running role as the villainous Zach Varmitech on the popular educational series Wild Kratts, a character he has voiced since 2011. His other notable voice credits include Shawn in Total Drama: Pahkitew Island, Biffy Goldstein in Detentionaire, and Coach Clydesdale in Corn & Peg. He has also contributed voices to series such as Arthur, Ranger Rob, The ZhuZhus, and Esme & Roy. Bennett's career also extends into video games, where he provided the voice for Jude Boyd in Assassin's Creed Syndicate. His body of work reflects a versatile performer who has become a staple voice in Canadian animation and English dubs of imported series for over two decades.
