Description
Leon Fierce is one of the three founding members of Team Estrella in BeyWheelz: Powered by Beyblade. He is a skilled Wheeler who uses the BeyWheel known as Wild Mane Leone, a defensive and counterattacking beyblade inspired by a lion. Leon has a distinctive appearance with spiky dark green hair styled like a mane, piercing purple eyes, and a fang that curves over his lower lip, which reinforces his lion-themed persona. On the surface, he comes across as rough, blunt, and quick-tempered, often letting his temper interfere with his judgment. However, beneath this gruff exterior lies a deeply caring individual who becomes a devoted mentor to others, especially to younger or less experienced wheelers. He treats people in his own unique way, which can seem harsh but is ultimately meant to push them to improve. Leon’s primary motivation is to protect his team and his world from the Dominators, a threatening group of wheelers who aim to take over the BeyWheelz world. He is driven by a strong sense of loyalty and a desire to prove his own worth, having never won a world championship himself—he was the number three ranked wheeler when Sho Tenma defeated him in the semifinals. In the story, Leon serves as the tritagonist, standing alongside the protagonist Sho Tenma and the level-headed Jin Ryu. His role is often that of the passionate, fiery member of the team, providing emotional intensity and acting as a catalyst for action. He is also a mentor figure to Covey Horn, who deeply admires Leon and follows him everywhere. Leon’s relationships are central to his development: he shares a competitive but friendly bond with Sho and a mutual respect with Jin, and his guidance helps Covey grow as a wheeler. Over the course of the series, Leon learns to channel his intense emotions into supportive leadership, particularly during high-stakes Judgement Bey battles. His notable abilities include a balanced fighting style that emphasizes defense and counterattack, and he is known for his incredible skill as a Wheeler, which earns him the respect of both allies and opponents. Leon continues his journey in the follow-up series BeyWarriors: BeyRaiderz, where he travels with Sho and Jin to a new world, adapting to a different type of bey battles.
