Kai Taschner is a German actor and voice artist born on August 25, 1957, in Munich. He was born into the film industry as the son of film editors Herbert and Ingeborg Taschner and made his first appearance in a dubbing studio at the age of thirteen, where he was discovered by a children's agent. His on-screen acting debut followed at the age of fifteen in the film Stunde Null directed by Edgar Reitz. Although he did not receive formal classical acting training, he trained as a graphic designer and also studied music at the Jazz-School in Munich.

Taschner has been active as a voice actor since 1988 and has lent his voice to well over nine hundred roles. In the realm of anime, he is known for his work on German-language adaptations of popular series and films. He voices the character Munin in the series Record of Ragnarok, a role documented in the German synchronization credits. He also takes on the role of William Shakespeare in the same series. In the film One Piece: Stampede, Taschner provides the German voice for the character Douglas Bullet. His other notable anime roles include Souun Ebisugawa in The Eccentric Family and Pharaoh 90 in Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal: Season III. His voice work also extends to other animated projects, such as the role of Pollux in the animated film Moon Return Home.
