Maresa Sedlmeir is a German voice actor born on January 24, 1995. She comes from a family with a strong background in acting and comedy; she is the niece of comedian Christian Tramitz and a great-granddaughter of actor Paul Hörbiger. Her brothers, Paul and Pirmin Sedlmeir, are also actors. She grew up near Munich and began her voice-acting career in childhood, starting with a small role in the children's series Franklin at the age of nine after being introduced to studio work by a friend of her mother, voice actor Inez Günther. Sedlmeir studied North American Studies and Cultural Studies at LMU Munich and later studied Cultural Journalism at the Theaterakademie August Everding and the University of Television and Film Munich.

Sedlmeir has built an extensive career in dubbing, lending her voice to a wide array of characters in films and television series. One of her most recognized roles is providing the German voice for Satsuki Kusakabe in the Studio Ghibli film My Neighbor Totoro, in the 2007 synchronization. Her work encompasses numerous anime and animated features, including roles as Luna in the Sailor Moon films Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos, as Benio Hanamura in the Mademoiselle Hanamura films, and as Isabella York in Violet Evergarden and the Bond of Friendship. She has also voiced characters in the One Piece franchise, including Nojiko as a child and Koala in One Piece: Stampede.

Beyond anime, Sedlmeir is frequently the German dubbing voice for actresses Dove Cameron and Bella Thorne, establishing recurring collaborations through her work. For Dove Cameron, she has voiced the dual roles of Liv and Maddie Rooney in the Disney series Liv and Maddie and the character Mal in the Descendants film series. For Bella Thorne, she has provided the German voice for CeCe Jones in Shake It Up – Tanzen ist alles and for characters in numerous films such as Midnight Sun – Alles für dich and You Get Me. Her extensive filmography includes over three hundred voice roles in productions ranging from horror and thriller films to dramas and comedies.

In recognition of her significant contribution to her field, Maresa Sedlmeir was awarded the German Acting Award in the category Die Stimme (The Voice) in September 2023.
