Description
"Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" is a CGI-animated film set two years after the events of the original "Final Fantasy VII" game. The story takes place in a world recovering from the devastation caused by Sephiroth, who sought to summon Meteor to destroy the planet. The protagonist, Cloud Strife, now lives a solitary life in Edge, a city built near the ruins of Midgar. He struggles with guilt and a mysterious illness known as Geostigma, which afflicts many survivors and is linked to the planet's polluted Lifestream.

The narrative begins with Cloud delivering medicine to children suffering from Geostigma, including Denzel, an orphan he has taken in. Meanwhile, a trio of enigmatic figures named Kadaj, Loz, and Yazoo, remnants of Sephiroth's will, seek to resurrect him by locating the remains of Jenova, an extraterrestrial entity tied to Sephiroth's power. Their actions threaten the fragile peace of the world, forcing Cloud to confront his past and his unresolved feelings of failure and loss.

As the story progresses, Kadaj and his group kidnap Denzel and Tifa, Cloud's close friend, to lure Cloud into a confrontation. Cloud reluctantly joins forces with his former allies, including Barret, Yuffie, Cid, and Vincent, to stop Kadaj's plans. The conflict culminates in a series of battles, including a climactic showdown in the ruins of Midgar, where Cloud faces Kadaj and the reawakened Sephiroth. Through these encounters, Cloud begins to reconcile his guilt and finds the strength to protect those he cares about.

The film explores themes of redemption, healing, and the enduring impact of past trauma. Key characters such as Tifa, Aerith (who appears in visions and memories), and Rufus Shinra, the former president of the Shinra Corporation, play significant roles in the narrative. Aerith's presence, though spiritual, serves as a guiding force for Cloud, while Rufus provides critical information about Geostigma and the remnants of Sephiroth.

"Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" ties together the lingering threads of the original game's story, offering closure to Cloud's journey while expanding on the world's lore. The film balances action-packed sequences with introspective moments, providing a continuation of the beloved characters' arcs and their struggle to rebuild in a world scarred by conflict.
