Steve Burton

Description
Steve Burton is an American actor born on June 28, 1970, who is recognized for his work as a voice actor in video games and animated films, particularly those produced by Square Enix. While he is primarily known for his long-running roles on daytime television, his voice work has made him a familiar presence in the world of Japanese-inspired media.

Burton is best known for providing the English voice of Cloud Strife, the protagonist of Final Fantasy VII. He first voiced the character in the 2002 video game Kingdom Hearts and continued in its sequel, Kingdom Hearts II. His most prominent performance as Cloud came in the 2005 CGI film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, where he was the English voice lead. The film was released on DVD in North America in 2006, with Burton's performance as the brooding hero being a central part of the English dub cast. He reprised the role in several other entries in the Compilation of Final Fantasy VII series, including the video games Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, as well as Dissidia Final Fantasy and its sequel.

Outside of the Final Fantasy VII franchise, Burton's voice acting work is not extensive, with his career primarily focused on live-action television. His performance as Cloud Strife across multiple projects remains his signature achievement in the field of voice acting.
