Ilona Otto, now known professionally as Ilona Brokowski, is a German voice actress born in Berlin on March 27, 1979. She began her career in theater before transitioning to voice acting and also earned a diploma in psychology from the Free University of Berlin. While she is widely recognized for her dubbing work in live-action series such as Gilmore Girls, Lost, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, she has also built an extensive career voicing characters in Japanese anime for German-language audiences.

In the realm of anime, Otto is known for several prominent roles. She voices the lead character Kyouko Hori in the romantic comedy series Horimiya. Another significant role is Kyouko Sakura from the acclaimed dark fantasy series Puella Magi Madoka Magica, a character she has portrayed in the original television series, its sequel film Rebellion, and the spin-off series Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story. She also provided the German voice for the character Haruna Saotome in the Magister Negi Magi Negima!? Spring and Summer OVAs.

Her anime voice work extends to other major franchises as well. She is the German voice of Hikari Horaki in the various releases of Neon Genesis Evangelion, including the Rebuild of Evangelion films.
