TV-Series
Description
Batch is a supporting character in the anime Mon Colle Knights, serving as one of two female lackeys to the antagonist Prince Eccentro. Very little is revealed about her life before the events of the series, but her dialogue and mannerisms indicate she is from the Kansai region of Japan, as she speaks with a distinct Kansai dialect. She possesses a practical knowledge of mechanics, suggesting she may have had some formal education or training in that area before becoming Eccentro's underling.

In terms of personality, Batch is best described as a tomboy. She has a strong-headed, spunky, and often sarcastic demeanor, which makes her a complete contrast to her fellow lackey, Gluko, who is much more airheaded and relaxed. Batch is depicted as a fitness enthusiast, and her personal space, such as her bedroom, is filled with exercise equipment. She is more committed to carrying out evil schemes than her companions; where Eccentro is foppish and Gluko is oblivious, Batch is generally more focused and willing to engage in the tasks required of her, even if she does so with a brash attitude. Despite her tough exterior, she has a love for certain sweets, particularly yokan, a type of Japanese jelly dessert. Her primary motivation stems from her loyalty to Eccentro, as she consistently follows his orders and participates in his plans to dominate Mon World, despite frequently bickering with him.

Within the story, Batch fulfills the role of the more practically-minded member of Prince Eccentro's team. While Eccentro provides the grandiose, if ineffective, leadership and Gluko offers oblivious commentary, Batch is the one who seems most capable of handling the technical aspects of their operations, likely thanks to her mechanical skills. She is frequently seen alongside Eccentro and Gluko as they travel to Mon World in their mobile fortress, the Lion, to hunt for monster items and oppose the protagonists, Mondo and Rockna. She is a constant presence in their schemes, which almost always end in failure.

Her key relationships are central to her role. Her primary interaction is with Prince Eccentro. Their relationship is a complicated, love-hate dynamic. They frequently boss each other around, and Batch is particularly fond of causing him minor "accidents" when he annoys her. She also often shows amusement at his various mishaps and miserable failures. Conversely, when Eccentro is frightened, he clutches onto Batch for security. Despite their constant arguing and her sarcastic barbs, she remains fundamentally loyal and is likely the only person who can interact with him on a relatively normal, human level. Her other significant relationship is with Tanaka Chuzaemon, Eccentro's strict mentor and disciplinarian. Like Eccentro, Batch is frequently subjected to Tanaka's brutal, back-breaking physical punishments whenever their plans go wrong, a fate she shares with her master for most of the series. The only thing she and the Count seem to agree on is their mutual disdain for Tanaka's punishing regimen. Her relationship with her partner Gluko is defined by their opposing personalities: Batch's strong-headedness contrasts with Gluko's blissfully oblivious nature.

Over the course of the series, Batch shows subtle signs of development. She becomes more tolerant of Eccentro's camp, eccentric antics as time goes by, learning to coexist with his personality rather than just being constantly irritated by it. In a few rare instances, she is seen avoiding Tanaka's punishments, marking a slight deviation from the usual formula. Her notable abilities include her knowledge of mechanics and engineering, which she applies to help maintain and operate Eccentro's equipment. She also demonstrates considerable physical fitness and a strong, resilient constitution, which, while a product of her personality, also proves necessary to survive the rigorous exercises Tanaka imposes as punishment. Physically, Batch is depicted as flat-chested, a noted visual contrast to the buxom Gluko.
