Ariel Winter

Description
Ariel Winter began her career as a voice actress at a young age, with some of her earliest credits including roles in animated projects released around 2005 and 2006, such as Bambi II and the English dub of the Japanese film Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children. In that film, she provided the voice for the character Marlene Wallace, the young adopted daughter of Barret Wallace, in the Advent Children Complete version, replacing Grace Rolek from the original theatrical release. This role is a notable entry in her filmography and ties her to the anime and video game genres.

Beyond this early work, Winter has built an extensive career as a voice actor across animation, video games, and English dubs of Japanese media. One of her most significant roles was as the title character in the Disney Junior animated series Sofia the First, a part that made her a recognizable voice in family entertainment. Her video game work includes lending her voice to the popular Final Fantasy series; she voiced the Moogle character Mog in Final Fantasy XIII-2 and provided the voice for multiple Moogles in Final Fantasy Type-0, becoming an official voice for the franchise's iconic creatures. She also voiced a young version of the character Kairi in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep.

Winter has frequently collaborated with certain animation studios and creative teams. She voiced the character Gretchen on the long-running Disney Channel series Phineas and Ferb and later reunited with the show's creators to voice a character named Jackie on their subsequent series, Milo Murphy’s Law. Her voice acting work extends to major animated films, where she played Penny Peterson in Mr. Peabody & Sherman, SmurfLily in Smurfs: The Lost Village, and Carrie Kelly, the female Robin, in the two-part animated film Batman: The Dark Knight Returns.

In recognition of her ensemble work on the live-action sitcom Modern Family, for which she is widely known, Winter and her castmates won Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series in both 2011 and 2012. While these awards are for her on-screen performance, they stand as notable achievements alongside her voice acting career. As an adult, Winter has continued to take on voice roles in a variety of animated series, including American Dad and Star Trek: Lower Decks, as well as in video games such as the interactive horror title The Quarry.
