Anja Godenschweger is a German dubbing actress who was born on June 27, 1961. She is primarily known for her extensive voice work in German-language dubs of international films and television series.

Her most prominent and defining role is providing the German voice for American actress Mariska Hargitay. Godenschweger has dubbed Hargitay in numerous productions, most notably as Detective Olivia Benson in the long-running series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, a role she has voiced for hundreds of episodes. She also dubbed Hargitay in other series such as Emergency Room – Die Notaufnahme and in the film Der Love Guru. Beyond her work with Hargitay, Godenschweger has lent her voice to a wide range of other actresses, including Belinda McClory as Switch in the film The Matrix, and Wendy Grantham as Shardene Innes in the series The Wire.

In addition to her work on live-action productions, Godenschweger is also active in dubbing animated series and films, which is often referred to as anime in a broader context. A notable example of this is her role as the voice of Saranda in the German dub of the Black Jack series. Her other credits in this field include voicing characters in the anime series Death Note, One Piece, and Shaman King. She also provided the German voice for Joelle Fillmore in the animated series Fillmore.
