Description
Rika Adachi is a Japanese actress, talent, and model who has also performed voice acting roles in anime productions. She was born on October 16, 1992, in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, and was raised in Mie Prefecture. Her career in entertainment began in 2007 when she won the grand prize at the 32nd Horipro Talent Scout Caravan, a major nationwide audition, which led to her signing with the agency Horipro.

Adachi's primary career is in live-action television and film, but she has taken on several voice acting roles, particularly within the Pokémon franchise. Her voice acting debut in a theatrical release was a cameo role in the 2012 anime film Detective Conan: The Eleventh Striker, where she voiced a character named after herself. Her most prominent voice acting role to date came in 2014 when she voiced the character Marilyn Flame in the Pokémon anime film Pokémon the Movie: Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction. This performance marked her first major role in animation.

Adachi later returned to the Pokémon series, taking on voice roles in the television anime Pokémon Journeys. In 2019, she voiced the character Ibuki, and in 2020, she voiced several characters, including Goh's Taillow and a character named Kira. Her work on Pokémon Journeys represented her first time voicing actual Pokémon characters. Beyond Pokémon, Adachi's other notable voice work is limited, but she was chosen in 2017 to be the MC for annical部, a television program on Animax dedicated to introducing anime and its associated culture. Her involvement in voice acting is closely tied to her long-standing personal fandom of the Pokémon series, which began in her childhood.
