Daniela Debolini

Description
Daniela Debolini is an Italian voice actress and dubbing director, primarily known for her work on anime films and series for the Italian market. Her career in dubbing began after she attended a dubbing school founded by Renato Izzo, a well-known figure in the Italian dubbing industry. While she has worked extensively in voice acting, her professional background is notably diverse, encompassing a long and successful career in radio, where she was the first woman to host the popular music program "Hit Parade" on RAI. She has also worked as a documentary narrator and as a teacher for documentary dubbing.

Debolini has lent her voice to several prominent animated productions. In the Studio Ghibli film When Marnie Was There, she voiced the character of Setsu Ōiwa, the warm and caring aunt who, along with her husband, looks after the protagonist Anna during her summer stay. Another notable role was in the film A Letter to Momo, where she provided the Italian voice for Sae Sadahama, the great-aunt of the main character, Momo.

Her involvement with the series Chi's Sweet Home extended beyond providing a voice. While she is credited with the role of Padrone di casa (the landlord), she also served as the dubbing director for the Italian adaptation of the series, overseeing the entire voice cast at CD Cine Dubbing. This points to a recurring collaboration with the dubbing studio Cine Dubbing, where both A Letter to Momo and Chi's Sweet Home were produced. Her work on A Letter to Momo also saw her work alongside director Maria Pia Di Meo. These roles demonstrate her contribution to bringing significant Japanese animated works to Italian audiences.
