Ryosuke Kanemoto is a Japanese voice actor born on September 2, 1988, in Okayama Prefecture. He is affiliated with Aoni Production, a major talent agency. Kanemoto graduated from Okayama Prefectural Kurashiki Commercial High School and Osaka University of Commerce, where he studied in the Faculty of Comprehensive Management, Department of Commerce. He is also a graduate of the Aoni Juku Osaka School, having completed the 26th term. During his high school years, he was a member of the baseball team. He began his career in 2011, initially taking on various supporting roles in anime television series and video games. His motivation to become a voice actor stemmed from watching anime during his university days and subsequently passing an entrance exam for a training school.
Kanemoto has built a diverse portfolio of roles across anime, film, and video games. One of his notable early main roles is Seiji Sagara in the 2014 television anime HappinessCharge PreCure!. He reprised this role for the 2014 film Eiga HappinessCharge PreCure! Ningyō no Kuni no Ballerina. In a 2025 web anime adaptation of the Koisuru One Piece spin-off, he voices the character Luffy Yamamoto, also referred to as Yamanzo Kaizoku-ō. Other significant anime roles include Torway Remeon in Alderamin on the Sky, Akiba Kazuma in Ace of Diamond, Andrew Hanbridge in Little Witch Academia, and Simon in The Seven Deadly Sins. He has also played numerous characters in the long-running One Piece anime, appearing in various minor roles from 2011 onwards.
His work also extends to video games and original net animations. Kanemoto voiced the protagonist Claude Wallace in Valkyria Chronicles 4 and provided the voice for the player character in the God Eater series of games. He played the leading role of Tohno Shiki in the 2021 game Tsukihime -A piece of blue glass moon- and its associated fighting game, Melty Blood: Type Lumina. In 2016, he took on the role of Satō Naruki in the voice remake of the Whistle! web anime.
Throughout his career, Kanemoto has been part of recurring collaborations, most notably through his long-term association with Aoni Production, which has led to his involvement in a wide range of projects produced or supported by the agency. A notable achievement includes performing a character song for his role as Seiji Sagara, titled Tomodachi to iu Mahō, which was featured on the HappinessCharge PreCure! soundtrack albums released in 2014 and 2015.
