Kenta Zaima

Description
Kenta Zaima is a Japanese male voice actor born on October 20, 1991, in Oita Prefecture, Japan. He is affiliated with the talent agency Aptpro, having graduated from its affiliated training school as a member of the third intake. Before being accepted into the agency, his path to becoming a voice actor was unconventional; he worked a variety of jobs, including a period where he became the manager of a ramen shop.

Zaima began his career in the early 2010s, with early roles in anime such as Love Lab and Danchi Tomoo. He is perhaps best known for his long-running role as Magoroku Shidō across multiple installments of the Future Card Buddyfight franchise. He voiced the character in the original Future Card Buddyfight series, Future Card Buddyfight 100, and Future Card Buddyfight Triple D, among others. This character, an arrogant and strategic antagonist at Aibo Academy, represents one of his most consistent and prominent roles to date.

Beyond Buddyfight, Zaima has built a career through a wide variety of supporting and guest roles in numerous anime series. His filmography includes notable appearances as Shugo Asagaya in Anime-Gataris, as well as roles in Trickster, Tanaka-kun is Always Listless, SSSS.Gridman, After the Rain, and Piano no Mori. He has also lent his voice to video games such as Megido 72 and Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and has participated in drama CDs and digital comics.

Throughout his career, Zaima has had recurring opportunities to work with several fellow voice actors on various projects. These include frequent collaborations with Kōsuke Toriumi, Aoi Yūki, and Sōma Saitō across series like Kabukichō Sherlock, Kemono Michi: Rise Up, and SSSS.Gridman.

His performances are often noted for bringing energy to rough and powerful characters, a specialty he developed during his training. However, he has also worked to expand his range to include more understated and nuanced roles. In addition to his anime and game work, Zaima has demonstrated versatility by singing character songs for projects and participating in the dubbing of foreign films. His hobbies and interests include playing card games, volleyball, and making tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen.
