Kaori Sadohara is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on January 18, 1988, in Uozu, Toyama Prefecture. She is a graduate of the Amusement Media General Institute's voice actor department. Her career began in 2012, and she has been affiliated with several talent agencies, including Production Ace, object, and as of 2021, Across Entertainment. She is also known for her work as a singer under the Nippon Columbia label and was a member of the voice actor units sweet ARMS and TWO-FORMULA.
Sadohara's debut anime role was in the series Nichijou, where she voiced the character Haruna Annaka. Her first regular role was in the series Upotte!!, for which she performed character songs using yodeling, a technique that became notable in her early work.
She has portrayed a variety of characters across different anime series. Some of her most recognized roles include Chocolat in My Mental Choices Are Completely Interfering with My School Romantic Comedy and Sandra Dortlake in Problem Children Are Coming from Another World, Aren't They?. In the series Upotte!!, she provided voices for two different anthropomorphic firearm characters, Sig and Shigu (an SG550). Her other anime credits include Kiya Star in R-15, Tamae Okamine in Date A Live, Julia in Hitsugi no Chaika, Yukako Mochida in Sakura Trick, Tamako in Isuca, and a role in Amagi Brilliant Park. In addition to anime, she has voiced characters in video games such as the Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk series.
Beyond voice acting, Sadohara is a skilled musician who can play the drums, a talent she utilized in her work with the unit TWO-FORMULA, a group whose name was created with permission from members of the influential music duo TWO-MIX. She also holds several qualifications, including a driver's license, a certification for accompanying people with visual impairments, and a Level 2 Kanji proficiency.
In 2015, Sadohara took a temporary hiatus from voice acting work due to vocal cord fatigue but returned to the industry in June of the same year. She married fellow voice actor Yoshihisa Kawahara, with whom she co-starred in Nichijou, in December 2017. The couple had a daughter in April 2018.
