Description
Masayuki Ohshita is a Japanese voice actor affiliated with Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society. He was born on February 19 in Hiroshima Prefecture and stands 174 cm tall.

Ohshita's path to becoming a voice actor was inspired by the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. After hearing audio messages of support from voice actors for the victims, he was moved to tears and realized the profound power of the human voice. He subsequently moved to Tokyo to pursue this new career goal. In 2018, he enrolled as a 53rd-term student at the Haikyō Voice Actors Studio, a training program affiliated with his eventual agency. He chose this specific program because its six-month duration allowed him to undergo intensive training while continuing to work. Ohshita has been open about having no prior acting experience, describing the training process as a continuous and challenging effort to develop his skills. He officially joined Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society in 2019.

His career began in 2020, and his debut role is credited as a minor character, simply listed as "Man," in the long-running anime Case Closed, also known as Detective Conan. His other anime television credits span a diverse range of series. He has appeared in productions such as Mars Red as Lieutenant General Minami, Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon - The Second Act as a headman, and The Elusive Samurai. He has also had roles in I Shall Survive Using Potions!, Undead Murder Farce, and Pon no Michi. His work extends to original net animation series, including a role in the second season of Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045 and as an owner in Rising Impact. In film, Ohshita has contributed to major theatrical releases such as The Deer King and Stand by Me Doraemon 2.

Beyond traditional animation, Ohshita is active in voice-over work for foreign films and series, providing the Japanese dubbing voices for characters in projects like the animated series Inside Job, the film Blue Eye Samurai, and the Chinese animated series The Legend of Luoxiaohei: Hundred Spirits and The Dragon Prince. He has also lent his voice to video games, with a notable role as the character Nakanori in the 2021 game Sakura no Kumo * Scarlet no Koi.

A significant recent achievement is his casting as the character Empedocles in the popular 2023 video game Honkai: Star Rail, providing the character's Japanese voice. His other game credits include Nobunaga's Ambition: Shutsujin and Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster.

Information on his professional collaborations shows he has worked alongside many other voice actors, including frequent appearances in projects with performers like Taku Yashiro, Yumiri Hanamori, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka. Outside of his professional life, Ohshita's personal interests include rakugo, karaoke, and reading, with a particular fondness for the author Osamu Dazai.
