Hitomi Sekine
Description
Hitomi Sekine is a Japanese voice actress and singer from Tokyo, born on May 9, 2000. She is affiliated with the talent agency I'm Enterprise. Her interest in becoming a voice actor was sparked during elementary school after watching the anime Gintama on a friend's recommendation.
Sekine made her debut in 2018 with her first and career-defining role as Mano Sakuragi in the popular franchise game The IDOLM@STER Shiny Colors. She later reprised this role in the 2024 anime adaptation of the same name. That same year, she began her first regular role in a television anime with a minor appearance in Tonari no Kyūketsuki-san.
In the 2022 original anime Shinobi no Ittoki, Sekine was cast as Ryōko Suzunone, a character associated with the Saika ninja clan. The year 2023 saw her take on several prominent supporting roles, including the class representative Mizue Tsuyukusa in Rokudō no Onna-tachi and Koyuzu Koganei in Otaku Elf. She achieved a significant milestone in 2024 when she was cast as Celina, her first lead heroine role in a television anime, in the series Good Bye, Dragon Life. For this role, she focused on a natural performance, aiming to convey the character's inherent cuteness without forcing a deliberately "cute" voice.
Beyond anime, Sekine is active as a singer and in live performances. She was a member of the voice actor unit teaRLove from its formation in June 2018 until its last live performance in 2022. In 2023, she formed the rock vocal duo EverdreaM with fellow voice actress Misato Matsuoka. Her discography includes several singles related to The IDOLM@STER franchise, such as The IDOLM@STER SHINY COLORS BRILLI@NT WING 02 Hikari no destination.
