Yukie Maeda

Yukie Maeda was a Japanese voice actress born on October 14, 1973, in Nara, Japan. She was affiliated with the talent agency Production baobab and was a graduate of the 13th term of their associated training school, the Baobab Academy.
Maeda's career in voice acting spanned approximately three decades, during which she contributed to a variety of anime series, video games, and dubbed foreign productions. In anime, she is recognized for her role as the turtle Tama-chan in the series Love Hina. She also voiced the character Carlos in Transformers: Armada and took on the role of Ino in Kamichu!. In the Koihime Musō series and its sequel Shin Koihime Musō, she provided the voice for the character Sōsō (Cao Cao), also known as Mōtoku or Karin.
Her work extended to video games, where she voiced Feli in Puyo Puyo Fever 2 and its sequels, and the character Aphelion in the games Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time. Her other anime roles include Orfus in Elemental Gelade and Nina in Fushigiboshi no Futagohime. She also contributed to the Japanese dub of the 2007 film Bee Movie, voicing the character Trudy.
In October 2025, Maeda publicly announced that she had been diagnosed with malignant sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Due to the progression of her illness and its impact on her ability to work, she announced her retirement from voice acting at the end of February 2026.
