Rika Wakusawa is a Japanese actress and voice actress. She was born on December 19 in Iwate Prefecture, Japan, and is affiliated with the talent agency Accent. Before joining Accent, she was a member of the theater troupe Shippu Do-to, and her career in the entertainment industry began in the 1990s. She has a background in gymnastics and rhythmic gymnastics and is fluent in the Iwate dialect.
Wakusawa has built a career with a variety of roles in television anime, video games, and stage productions. In television animation, her roles include Eliza Thomas in the series Hello, Anne: Before Green Gables, also known as Konnichiwa Anne: Before Green Gables. Her other anime credits include Saya Tachibana in The Soul Taker, Rekka Toushin in Candidate for Goddess, Isla in Tide-Line Blue, and Rei in Pokémon: Advanced Generation. She also voiced Li Huanglian in both the Cardcaptor Sakura movie and the Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc anime, as well as Reika Shiratori in Gokujou!! Mecha Mote Iinchou 2nd Collection. In the Pokémon anime, she provided the voice for the character Rachel, the mother of the Mossdeep City Gym Leaders Tate and Liza.
