Dante Biagioni was an Italian actor and voice actor, born on January 9, 1935, in Pistoia, Tuscany. He died on August 3, 2016, in Rome at the age of 81. Biagioni's career spanned both live-action performance and extensive voice dubbing work, becoming a familiar voice to Italian audiences in numerous film and television productions. He trained at the Accademia d'arte drammatica Silvio d'Amico, which he left shortly before graduating to begin his career as a voice actor, making his debut dubbing Raf Mattioli in the 1957 film Guendalina.

Biagioni had a prolific career in dubbing, lending his voice to a vast array of characters in animated series and films. Among his notable roles in anime, he voiced the character Aran in the Italian edition of the OVA series Freedom, produced by Dynit. In the acclaimed animated film A Letter to Momo, he was the Italian voice of Sachio Sadahama, the great-uncle of the protagonist. He also voiced the character Pandaba in the series Hello Kitty's Animation Theater.

Biagioni was also a regular presence in the dubbing of the Pretty Cure franchise. He provided the voice for Anziano Tiramisu, the sage of the Sweets Kingdom, in the series Fresh Pretty Cure!. Additionally, he voiced the character Vecchio Saggio, or the Old Sage, in the film Futari wa Precure Max Heart 2: Yukizora no Tomodachi. His work extended to other major animated productions, where he was perhaps best known to international audiences as the voice of Master Oogway in the Italian dubs of Kung Fu Panda and Kung Fu Panda 3.

Beyond animation, Biagioni's voice work was extensive. He was the regular Italian voice for actor Desmond Llewelyn in his final appearances as Q in several James Bond films, including GoldenEye, The World Is Not Enough, and The World Is Not Enough. He also dubbed actors such as Bill Cobbs in the Night at the Museum films, Robert Prosky in Last Action Hero, and Vincent Price in Edward Scissorhands. On television, his voice could be heard in numerous animated series, including roles in The Simpsons, Futurama, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and as the voice of Nonno Pig in the Italian version of Peppa Pig. In addition to his dubbing career, Biagioni was also an accomplished stage and television actor, appearing in Italian TV dramas such as Il conte di Montecristo and E le stelle stanno a guardare.
