Melissa Hope

Melissa Hope is the professional alias of American voice actress Melissa Schoenberg, who has been active in the English dubbing industry since 2007. She is primarily known for her work providing English voices for characters in Japanese anime series and video games.

Hope is most prominently recognized for her multiple roles within the Queen's Blade franchise. She voiced the character Elina Vance across several installments of the series, including Queen's Blade: The Exiled Virgin, Queen's Blade: Beautiful Warriors, Queen's Blade 2: The Evil Eye, and Queen's Blade: Rebellion. In addition to Elina, she also provided the English voice for the character Melpha in Queen's Blade: Beautiful Warriors and Queen's Blade 2: The Evil Eye.

Another significant role in Hope's career is Miyoko Sahara in the critically acclaimed Kyoto Animation film A Silent Voice. The English dub of the film, in which she participated, was released in theaters and later on home video.

Beyond these credits, Hope's voice work extends to other anime and video game projects. Under her birth name, Melissa Schoenberg, she voiced the Pokémon Coordinator Ursula in the Pokémon anime series during 2009 and 2010. Later, starting in 2017, she voiced the character Mareanie in Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon, using the Melissa Hope alias. Her other dubbing credits include the role of Pargol in the film Under the Shadow. In the video game industry, she has lent her voice to characters such as Xiayu, a friend of the character Rashid, in Street Fighter V, and Eun-mi in White Day: A Labyrinth Named School.
