Satsuki Miyahara
Description
Satsuki Miyahara is a Japanese voice actress born in Niigata Prefecture on October 28, 1998. She is affiliated with the talent agency 81 Produce. Her path to becoming a voice actor began in elementary school when she was inspired by Ryouko Souma's performance as the male protagonist Kenshin Himura in Rurouni Kenshin. During her high school years, she joined the drama club, and a teacher's encouragement led her to participate in an audition. In 2016, during her third year of high school, she won multiple awards at the 10th 81 Audition, including the Special Award, Studio Deen Award, Bunka Hoso Award, and Shogakukan Award. This success launched her career, and she began her professional activities with 81 Produce in April 2018.
Miyahara's early roles consisted of minor characters in various anime series. Her first credited television roles in 2018 included Shiina Yamahara in Aikatsu Friends!, a female customer in Run with the Wind, and a Shikigami in Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs. She continued to gain experience with small parts in series such as MIX in 2019 and The Morose Mononokean II in 2019. The year 2020 saw her appear in Kaguya-sama: Love Is War? and Plunderer.
Her first major leading role came in 2022 as Chisa Akagawa in the television anime CUE!, an adaptation of the smartphone game of the same name. This role is a significant point in her filmography. Other notable television appearances from this period include roles in I★Chu: Halfway Through the Idol, Girlfriend, Girlfriend, and The Helpful Fox Senko-san in 2021, and IDOLiSH7 Third BEAT! in 2022. In 2024, she was cast as a girl in Demon Slave (also known as Mato Seihei no Slave).
Beyond anime, Miyahara has lent her voice to several video games. Her game credits include The flustered White Rabbit in Winning Hand in 2018, TotoNote in Idola: Phantasy Star Saga in 2019, and Mysti in Wild Girls in 2020. In 2023, she voiced the character Jagaa in Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution. She has also participated in audio dramas and voiced characters for audiobooks, such as Ainosato Rei in the 2019 audio drama "It's Hard to Be a Close Friend?".
A significant aspect of Miyahara's career is her membership in the voice actor unit DIALOGUE+. She joined the group in 2019 alongside seven other up-and-coming voice actors from her agency, including Yurina Uchiyama, Nene Hieda, and Ayaka Takamura. The unit, known for performing theme songs for various anime series, represents a major recurring collaboration in her career. Her work with DIALOGUE+ has also led to projects like an animated music video produced by CloverWorks for the group's song 1000-man Kai Hug Nanda in 2022.
Miyahara's notable achievements include her successful audition that launched her career and her selection as a core member of the DIALOGUE+ unit. Her portrayal of Chisa Akagawa in CUE! is her most prominent anime role to date, marking her transition from minor parts to a lead character in a major series. Her casting as Jagaa in the long-running Neptunia game franchise was also noted as an example of "dark horse casting," highlighting her as an emerging talent taking on a significant role.
