Silke Haupt is a German actress and voice actor with a career spanning over twenty-five years in theater, television, and voice-over work. She began her professional training at the Theaterakademie Ulm, where she studied acting from 1989 to 1993. Following her graduation, she performed as a character actor at several prominent theaters, including the Grillo-Theater in Essen, Theater Bremen, the Ulmer Stadttheater, and the Meininger Staatstheater. Her on-screen appearances during this period included roles in German television series such as Lindenstraße, Unter uns, Drehkreuz Airport, and Höllische Nachbarn.

Haupt's focus shifted toward voice work after her first casting for a voice-over role, leading her to pursue it as her primary profession. To refine her skills, she took additional singing and speech lessons and, in 1999, became a member of the voice-over ensembles for the Westdeutscher Rundfunk and Norddeutscher Rundfunk, where she received further coaching. That same year, she established her own recording studio.

Her voice work encompasses a wide range of genres, including documentaries, commercials, image films, e-learning projects, video games, and audio dramas. In the realm of animation and anime synchronization, she provides the German voice for characters in various productions. One notable example is her role as Margaret Steamson in the 2006 anime series Project Blue Earth SOS. She is also the German dubbing voice for numerous international actors, with her listed dubbing credits including voice actors such as Kikuko Inoue, Akeno Watanabe, and Fumie Mizusawa, among many others.

Beyond synchronization, Haupt is well known for her extensive work in German audio drama series. Since 2001, she has held the recurring role of Shao in the long-running horror series Geisterjäger John Sinclair, a part she took over from earlier guest roles in the same production. Her other audio drama credits include major productions such as Frank Schätzing's Der Schwarm, as well as series like Perry Rhodan and Sherlock Holmes. She has also been active as a narrator for audiobooks.

In addition to her narrative and dramatic work, Haupt's voice has been a familiar presence in German media and advertising. She has worked as a station voice for the children's channel SuperRTL and was the long-standing voice for the telecommunications company O2, handling telephone announcements and hotlines. Her commercial voice can be heard in campaigns for major brands such as Volkswagen, Barbie, Lego, L'Oréal, and Siemens.
