Jack Langendijk

Jack Langedijk is a Canadian actor and theatre director whose career spans stage, film, and television, including voice work for animated series. Born in 1956, he studied acting at Concordia University in Montreal and Sheridan College in Ontario. Following his education, Langedijk founded his own theater company and has directed numerous stage productions, including several works by Shakespeare.

While his primary body of work is in live-action film and television, Langedijk has contributed his voice to several animated projects. He is most notably recognized in the realm of animation for providing the English voice of the character Buguese in the anime series Spider Riders and its follow-up, Spider Riders: Yomigaeru Taiyou. Buguese is a prominent character, serving as the leader of the Big Four and the second-in-command of the Invectids. Another significant voice role was as Aran Cortes in the animated series Skyland, for which he voiced the character in twenty-six episodes. His other voice credits include additional voices in the animated film Cat City and the television series Hotel Transylvania: The Series.

Langedijk's career is marked by a recurring collaboration with director Robert Dorhnhelm, with whom he has worked on several projects. A notable achievement in his acting career was receiving a Gemini Award nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series at the 5th Gemini Awards in 1990. He was nominated for his performance as Joseph Brant in the television film Divided Loyalties. In addition to his work as an actor, Langedijk is also an author, having self-published his first novel, Because, in 2014.
