Dale Wilson was a Canadian voice actor known for his extensive work in anime and Western animation, particularly for the Ocean Productions dub of the Dragon Ball Z series. He was born on December 31, 1942, in Oak Park, Illinois, and passed away on January 6, 2025, at the age of 82.

Wilson’s career in voice acting was prolific, spanning several decades and including numerous prominent roles in English dubs of anime series and films, often produced by Ocean Studios in Vancouver. He was a key figure in bringing Japanese animation to English-speaking audiences during the 1990s and 2000s.

Among his most noted anime roles is Bunmei Muroto in the film Jin-Roh - The Wolf Brigade, a dark and atmospheric thriller. He also voiced the character Smokescreen in the Transformers: Armada series and took on the role of Soutaifu, also known as Advisor So, in the series The Story of Saiunkoku. His filmography includes a vast array of other credits, such as Duke Fried in The Vision of Escaflowne, Clow Reed in Cardcaptors, and multiple roles in the Ocean dub of Dragon Ball Z, including the iconic villain Cell, Kami, and Android 8.
