Kyle Rideout

Kyle Rideout is a Canadian actor, writer, and director known for his work in film, television, and animation voiceovers. Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, on November 9, 1984, he began his career in the mid-2000s, first gaining recognition in Vancouver's theatre scene with two Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards. He later trained at the Canadian Film Centre. Beyond acting, Rideout co-owns the production company Motion 58 with Josh Epstein, through which he has co-written and directed several short and feature-length films, including Adventures in Public School, which earned him a nomination for the Directors Guild of Canada's DGC Discovery Award in 2017.

As a voice actor, Rideout has contributed to the English dubs of various animated series. One of his noted early roles in this field was providing the voice for the character Kokajun Sa in the English language edition of the anime series The Story of Saiunkoku, which aired from 2007 to 2008. He has also provided additional voices for the English dub of the anime film The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.

Much of his voice acting work has been for animated television series. He is known for his role as Vinnie Terrio in Littlest Pet Shop from 2012 to 2016 and as Terrance Buckshot in Packages from Planet X from 2013 to 2014. In the My Little Pony franchise, Rideout voiced the character Thorax in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic from 2016 to 2019, a role for which he is well-regarded within the fan community, later reprising a voice role in the spin-off series My Little Pony: Pony Life. His other voice credits include roles in Dinotrux, Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures, and Ready Jet Go!. In 2016, he also appeared in the live-action films Deadpool and Warcraft.
