Lucy Morales

Description
Lucy Morales is the stage name used by American voice actor Tiffany Grant for her work in English-language dubs of Japanese anime series, particularly during the 1990s. Grant, who was born in 1968, is a prominent figure in the Houston-based voice acting community, having worked extensively with ADV Films and other studios in the region.

Under the Lucy Morales alias, Grant provided voices for a number of English adaptations of anime original video animations, many of which were in the horror and adult-oriented genres. A significant portion of her work in this period was for dubs produced and distributed by companies like ADV Films and its affiliates. This included a role in the series Rei Rei, where she was credited as the voice of the character Tanaka. She also voiced the character Mayaka in the English adaptation of the series F3, produced by SoftCel Pictures, a division of ADV Films.

Morales is particularly noted for her roles in the Urotsukidōji franchise. In the 1989 film Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend, she voiced the character Megumi Amano. She reprised this role for its 1991 sequel, Urotsukidoji II: Legend of the Demon Womb. Additionally, she is credited with the voice of Seil in the series Dragon Knight: Wheel of Time, as mentioned in provided examples.

Beyond her work under the Lucy Morales pseudonym, Grant is widely recognized for her mainstream voice roles under her legal name. Her most famous and enduring role is as Asuka Langley Soryu in the seminal series Neon Genesis Evangelion, a part she continued to play in the later Rebuild of Evangelion films. Her career has included roles in a wide array of series, such as Mobile Battleship Nadesico, One Piece, and many others, establishing her as a key figure in the North American anime dubbing industry from the early 1990s onward. Her professional associations have included collaborations with directors and producers like Matt Greenfield, to whom she was also married for a period.
