Katashi Ishizuka, whose real name is Katashi Ishizuka, is a Japanese male voice actor born on September 22, 1970, in Osaka Prefecture. He began his career in 1995 and has been active in the anime and video game industries for decades. He trained at the Japan Narration Acting Institute to prepare for his voice work. Throughout his career, he has been affiliated with several talent agencies, including Arts Vision and Aksent, and currently works as a freelance voice actor.
Ishizuka's debut role was providing the voice of the iconic character Ryu in the Fighter Zero. He would go on to voice Ryu in numerous subsequent games, including the Street Fighter EX series and the Vs. series, making it one of his most defining and long-running roles. Another major video game role early in his career was the protagonist in the 1996 game Persona.
