Hideki Fukushi

Hideki Fukushi is a Japanese narrator, voice actor, and actor born on April 12, 1954, in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture. He is associated with A-type blood and stands 172 cm tall. Fukushi operates his own representative office, Office Fukushi.
Fukushi's career began in the 1970s after he was inspired by the narration of Tatsuya Yashiro on the radio program JET STREAM during his first year of university. He studied at the Tokyo Announce Academy's voice actor department and was a member of the Komazawa University Broadcasting Research Circle. His first regular voice role was as a crew member in the 1979 anime Gladiator Gordian. Early in his career, he gained experience through affiliations with various theater companies and talent agencies, including Gekidan Tokai, Office Oh, Production Baobab, and 81 Produce, before establishing his own office.
As a voice actor, Fukushi has been credited in numerous anime series from the late 1970s through the 1980s. One of his notable roles from this period is Karim Atlas in the 1983 mecha anime series Psycho Armor Govarian. He also voiced several characters in the long-running sports anime Captain Tsubasa, including Dr. Nakata, Makoto Kitazume, and Yuuichirou Daimaru. Other significant voice roles from this era include Kurt in The New Adventures of Maya the Bee, Cornel and Stroheim in Round Vernian Vifam, and Yoisho in Super Robot Garatt. He has also contributed voices to major film productions, such as an unnamed soldier role in Hayao Miyazaki's Castle in the Sky. His voice acting work continued into the 2000s with roles in the Papa the Raccoon Dog educational series and as Chief Cabinet Secretary Fukushima in Speed Grapher.
From his thirties onward, Fukushi's career became increasingly focused on narration work. He has provided narration for a wide array of television programs, including travel series such as BS Asahi's Sekai no Funatabi and BS-TBS's Nippon Zenshu! Ekiben Meguri. His narration credits also encompass information and variety shows, documentaries like the Sekai Fushigi Hakken! special for Godzilla's 40th anniversary, and numerous television commercials for brands including Maruchan Seimen Cup, Nippon Shokken, the taxi app GO, and Mouse Computer. He was also the long-time narrator for the Yagi Tori Shimatsu drama corner on the program Tantei! Knight Scoop.
