Ezequiel Serrano

Description
Ezequiel Serrano is a Venezuelan voice actor and singer, recognized for his extensive work in the Latin American Spanish dubbing of numerous anime and animated television series during the late 1990s and 2000s. He began his dubbing career as a child, approximately five or six years old, and went on to provide voices for a wide array of characters over roughly a decade.

Serrano's career is marked by several prominent and recurring roles in anime. He is notably the voice of the Hot Shot character across three interconnected Transformers series: Transformers: Armada, Transformers: Energon, and Transformers: Cybertron. His other significant anime credits include Junta Momonari in DNA², Kain Fuery in Fullmetal Alchemist, Kyoji Kagami in Get Backers, Asuka Tachibana in S.Cry.Ed, and Jonathan in Galaxy Angel and Galaxy Angel Z. He also voiced Tony, Michael, and served as a narrator for the Beyblade anime series. The roles specifically mentioned by a user Zuru in Medarot Damashii (titled Medabots Spirit in some sources) and Kazuhiko Aikawa in Hoop Days are both part of his anime filmography.

Beyond anime, Serrano achieved significant recognition for his work in western animation, voicing lead characters such as Robin and Beast Boy in Teen Titans, the titular character in Danny Phantom, and Nightcrawler in X-Men: Evolution. He also provided the first voice for the character Kenan Rockmore in the Venezuelan Spanish dub of the live-action series Kenan & Kel.

In addition to voice acting, Serrano was frequently involved in musical performance for his projects. He performed theme songs and inserted musical pieces for numerous series, including the Beyblade opening, the Danny Phantom theme (alongside Luis Miguel Pérez), and the rock version of the song I'm a Goofy Goof for the film The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.

In February 2008, Serrano retired from the dubbing industry and relocated to Catalonia, Spain, where he became the lead vocalist for the band Cabezón Key. He has stated that he does not wish to return to voice acting or locution work, feeling it was not his true calling, though he appreciates that audiences enjoyed his performances. However, sources indicate he made a temporary return to dubbing in 2022.
