Marla Scott Frumkin

Marla Frumkin is an American voice and screen actress recognized for her work in both animation and live-action productions from the late 1970s through the 2000s. She was born on July 17, 1950. Throughout her career, she has also been credited under the names Marla Scott, Marla Frumkin Scott, and Marla Finn.

Frumkin is perhaps best known to American audiences as the third voice of the character Velma Dinkley in various installments of the Scooby-Doo franchise, a role she took over from Pat Stevens. She also voiced the character Selena in the original 1980s G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero series.

However, her voice acting career also includes significant contributions to English-language dubs of Japanese anime series during the early era of anime localization in the United States. These roles were often part of syndication packages designed for Western audiences. She was a part of the voice cast for several shows assembled under the "Force Five" umbrella, a programming block that featured dubbed Japanese robot anime.

Her extensive anime voice credits from this period include numerous roles where she provided voices for both male and female characters. In the series Science Fiction Saiyuki Starzinger, she voiced the character Princess Aurora. For Getter Robo G, she was the voice of both Genki Saotome and Michiru Saotome. In UFO Senshi Daiapolon, her roles included Joketsu and Miki. She had multiple roles in Space Pirate Captain Harlock, voicing Kei Yuki, Mayu Ooyama, and St. Giovanna Headmistress. Frumkin was also part of the cast for Magnos The Robot, where she voiced Estroydia, Mai Kazuki, and Yuri Petrakov. Additional anime credits include roles in Dino Mech Gaiking.

Beyond her voice work in animation, Frumkin appeared in small roles in live-action films such as Jake's Corner and Sugar. Her active years in the entertainment industry spanned from the early 1980s to around 2012.
