Eugene Ishikawa

Eugene Ishikawa, also known by the name Yūjin Ishikawa (石川裕人), is a Japanese producer, translator, and editor who has worked extensively in the field of anime and manga localization. His professional identity is often tied to his work on the Transformers franchise, where he served in a key production role. Ishikawa was the editor in chief of villagebooks, a company through which he contributed to the Japanese localization of numerous American comic series.
His most prominent anime credit is as an executive producer for Transformers: Armada, which aired in 2003. He continued his involvement with the franchise's anime productions, also serving as a producer for its direct sequel, Transformers: Energon. Beyond his executive duties, Ishikawa contributed original story material for other projects within the same universe. He is credited with the draft story for Lio Convoy in Imminent Danger! and provided planning and plot for the crossover comic Mazinger Z versus Transformers. His other writing-related credits include serving as a supervisor and assistant lyricist for Megatron Ondo and providing booklet commentary for The Transformers: More than Meets the Eye.
A significant portion of Ishikawa’s career has been dedicated to translation and localization.
