Nicole Leroux
Description
Nicole Leroux is a Canadian actress and voice actor known for her work in anime dubbing and video games. Raised on the West coast of Canada, she initially faced a career choice between pursuing professional basketball and acting, ultimately selecting the latter. Her training began at the prestigious Studio 58 and continued at the University of British Columbia, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. She furthered her studies at the British American Drama Academy in Oxford, England, focusing on Shakespeare and British Comedy with instructors from the Royal Shakespeare Company. Leroux's voice acting career began after she was discovered while performing on stage. Her voice roles include Ranpha Franboise in the hit anime series Galaxy Angel and its sequel, Galaxy Angel A. She also voiced the character Shizu in InuYasha, Sally in Dragon Drive, Shizuku in Popotan, and provided a voice for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. In video games, she voiced the character Elise in Ubisoft's Assassins Creed III: Liberation. Beyond voice work, Leroux's on-screen credits span both comedic and dramatic roles in productions such as Catch and Release, The Santa Clause 2, Da Vincis Inquest, and The Core. For her work in the theatre, she received a Jessie Richardson Award for her performance in Cloneage.PA and earned a Jessie Richardson Award nomination for Outstanding Performance in a lead role for her portrayal of Anna in the play Omniscience.
